| Shaun White Pro Snowboarder Biography
Shaun White is a famous man. He won a gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics.
As he has big red hair, he is called ‘flying tomato’ as well. He won the event after beating a fellow American Danny Kass.
He is a two-sport athlete. He was the first person to participate at both winter and Summer X Games. He participated in two different sports- snowboarding and skateboarding.
He was born on September 3, 1986 in Carlsbad, California. White started snowboarding only at the age of six. He tried it after watching his elder brother, who was trying to do it.
Shaun started taking part in competitions after a year. After that, he won almost every snowboarding competition.
He was sponsored by Burton, and turned pro at the age of 13.
He was named as ‘Future Boy’ when he first started competing. He was only 13, but was doing a great job in snowboarding.
White used to invent tricks that were never seen or heard before.
In 2003, Shaun White showed good performance in all Winter X Games, and other events in which he wished to enter.
Shaun White won the gold medal in slope style and the Super Pipe. He was awarded the best-athlete award also.
White became the youngest snowboarder to win, after a month.
After winning in the field of snowboarding, Shaun decided to leave an impression in skateboarding as well. In 2005, White qualified for the Winter Olympics 2006. He won a gold medal in half pipe snowboarding. This is the story of Shaun White.
